Apple Maps Expands to New Browsers
Firefox and Edge Support Added for Mac and iPad
Apple has extended the compatibility of Apple Maps for web, now enabling users to access the service on various browsers, including Firefox and Edge for Mac and iPad.
Initially available only on Safari and Chrome, Apple Maps has now expanded its reach to include additional browsers. The company's support document for Apple Maps now lists Safari, Edge, Chrome, and Firefox as compatible browsers on both Mac and iPad.
Launched as a public beta in late July, Apple Maps for web allows users to access navigation, search for locations, and explore Apple Maps features directly from their browser. The service was initially limited to Safari and Chrome, but the new update enhances browser compatibility.
Currently available in English, Apple Maps for web is compatible with Safari and Chrome on Mac and iPad, as well as Chrome and Microsoft Edge on Windows.
