Serial Killer Robert Pickton Hospitalized After Prison Attack
Critical Injuries Sustained
Notorious serial killer Robert Pickton has been hospitalized with critical injuries after a vicious attack in prison. The 52-year-old Pickton, who is serving a life sentence for killing six women, was assaulted by a fellow inmate at the maximum-security Port-Cartier Institution in Quebec on Monday.
Attack Details
According to Correctional Service Canada, the attack occurred in a common area of the prison. Pickton was allegedly stabbed multiple times and suffered other serious injuries. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where he remains on life support.
The inmate who allegedly attacked Pickton has been identified as a 28-year-old man who is also serving a life sentence for murder. He has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the incident.
Previous Attacks
This is not the first time that Pickton has been attacked in prison. In 2015, he was stabbed in the chest by another inmate. He survived that attack and continued to serve his sentence.
