Cruise Ship Crash

**Bulgarian Cruise Ship Crashes into Concrete Wall** On March 24, 2024, a Bulgarian cruise ship carrying over 100 passengers collided with a concrete wall in a sluice on the Danube River. The incident occurred due to a sudden loss of maneuverability on the vessel. According to reports, the ship was traveling between Budapest, Hungary, and Passau, Germany, when it crashed into a wall in the Kisköre Barrage. Seventeen passengers were reportedly injured in the incident. Emergency services responded to the scene and evacuated the passengers from the ship. The vessel was later towed to a nearby port for repairs. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but it is believed that a technical malfunction may have been a contributing factor. This incident comes as the latest in a series of cruise ship accidents in recent months. Just days prior, a Norwegian cruise ship lost the ability to navigate after a rogue wave struck it. Additionally, the Ruby Princess cruise ship left San Francisco for Alaska with nearly 600 fewer passengers following a crash at Pier 27. The safety of cruise passengers is paramount, and authorities are working to determine the causes of these incidents and implement measures to prevent future accidents.
